One of the many things James bond is famous for is his impeccable sense of style. And as he is the quintessential British man, it's no rsurprise that when he was finally united with British fashion icon, Barber in the movie Skyfall it caused quite a store to say the least.
It was an excellent pairing, considering that it was during his final stand, in the damp and unforgiving Scottish location of Skyfall, his family home. And when the man that so many other men would like to emulate all wore Barbour Beacon Heritage Sports Jacket while brandishing a shotgun, demand for the jacket soared and the limited edition jacket could not be got for love or money
The jacket in question was a Barber Beacon heritage X Tokyo sports jacket. Although not immediately recognisable as a bond outfit, if there is one look that people associate with Skyfall, it would be undoubtedly the Barber jacket and ensemble worn for the climax of the movie and without doubt, the show stopper was this jacket. Barbour responded to the demand and released it in an updated form that looked more like the movie version

The Beacon sports jacket is made of 6 oz Silkoil waxed cotton which makes it waterproof and warm. The jacket was paired with a teal sweater a pair of jeans and brogue boots and though it was quite low key, it was a real Show stopper. The reason for this because how accessible the look is, you could go straight from the movie set to a bar and even go on to a date and still look damn good.
The jacket is a limited edition by To Ki To, a collaboration between Barber and Japanese Tokihito Yoshida., part of the Beacon Heritage collection. It is made in Barbour’s classic olive waxed cotton with three buttons down the front, flapped bellow pockets on the hips. The collection is inspired by Barbours’ sporting, motorcycling and military heritage offering a range of jackets, knitwear and shirts.
Barbour x Engineered Garments Covert jacket in No Time To Die

Bond donned a Barber jacket once again. In his last outing as bond, Daniel Craig sported a Barber jacket when in Cuba at a bar wear he joins forces with the beautiful but deadly, Paloma, played by Ana de Armas in No Time To Die.
The jacket in question this time round is the Barber X engineered garment ‘Graham’ jacket in the unwashed waxed version. The jacket is navy with a zip front with a fly that fastens with 5 poppers. It has a large turned-down collar that can be folded up and fastened to a popper to form a wind flap. Ironically this look is one of Bond’s most American looks reminiscent of is American looks reminiscent of Steve McQueen.
He wears it over a casual outfit he was wearing in an earlier scene but the addition of this jacket lifts the look to a much more refined evening Outfit. Based on the design of the iconic Barbour Beaufort, the Graham jacket is no longer available but Barbour released the updated version, the ‘covert’ which is very similar.
If you fancy emulating some of the iconic fashion of bond then a Barber jacket is an excellent place to start so we have compiled a selection of Barbour jackets that will ensure you look fantastic no matter what Bond like scenario you might find yourself in.
